Only Foolish Men Are upset by Events They Can't Control

He who grows in wisdom grows in impatience.
Just as he who knows much is hard to satisfy. At times we suffer most impatience with those upon whom we most depend. But this is a game of fools, for only foolish men are upset
by events they cannot control.
Learning to keep a rein on impatience when our nature is impetuous prepares us for
encountering misfortunes with perfect calm.
It is the lessons of restraint that force us to set up a school of self control.
Let him who cannot control his impatience take refuge within himself and test his strength
in putting up with himself......... B. G

Recognize The Power of Courtesy

Courtesy is the quiet, underlying power behind all negotiations. those of breeding fall under its spell, while the vulgar, confronted by it, fall over in confusion. It is said that only a fool keeps shouting while his opponent whispers. When you add courtesy to something you sell, it returns a twofold value. You receive the worth of goods and, at the same time, the respect of the satisfied buyer. Among mature negotiators, courtesy is a sign of sophistication and caring. Even in an exchange in which few words are spoken, the buyer and seller agree tacitly to trade again. There isn't much that the art of courtesy cannot improve........B G
